Birmingham rock historians will know him from his days as one half of the criminally undervalued The Boaty Man with Steve Grizzell before going on to play guitar with Rumblefish ( East West ) and their reincarnation as Low Art Thrill ( Island ).

Having started writing solo in 2003 and playing open mic nights, a demo secured an invitation from Squeeze’s Chris Difford to attend his annual writers’ retreat week at Oxenhoath in Kent along with such names as Marty Pellow, Amy Wadge and last years Arts Foundation Songwriting Award winner Emily Baker.


At the begining of 2009 he was invited to provide lead vocals for IROHA - an atmospheric experimental band masterminded by Andy Swan, who's previous work is linked to Justin Broadrick (Godflesh) and Nic Bullen (Napalm Death). Now a regular member of the band, Dominic expects to be on tour at some point to promote the debut album which should be out in the summer of 2010 on INVADA Records, a label set up and run by Geoff Barrow of PORTISHEAD.

Amongst other projects Dominic has planned for this year is a collaboration with the extraordinarily talented guitarist Ben Drummond, winner of last years Vodaphone/Myspace One To Watch competition.

Over the last couple of years Dominic has recorded tracks with Scott Matthews/Jo Hamilton producer Jon Cotton and Thomas Johannsen ( Tom Baxter, Boy kill Boy, Shaznay Lewis ) and is currently touring.

Andy Griffiths

Is a talented and enigmatic singer song writer who's glorious arrangments and sensitive delivery are a delight to behold. Not only a great guitarist and singer he is also a charismatic performer. Not to be missed!
